Always tighten bolts starting from the center and work outward in a crisscross pattern.

5VZ-FE 3.4L Torque Procedure

1. Torque all bolts to 25 ft-lb 
2. Turn each bolt an 90°)
3. Turn each bolt an additional 90°

Important Notes

• Do not reuse old head bolts (torque-to-yield design)
• Lightly oil threads and bolt heads before installation
• Use a torque angle gauge for accuracy
• Follow proper torque sequence at all times
